We're lucky to have a fantastic support network
UnLtd are the leading provider of support to social entrepreneurs, and gave us our first seed funding in 2013. They handed us a giant foam cheque which we've kept on our wall ever since (one to tick off the bucket list!)Their vote of confidence gave us a real boost in our early stage. They've been a great mentor and we're incredibly grateful to have them on board.
TeachFirst exist to end educational inequality in the UK. They have been a wonderful guide for us, and are an endless source of knowledge and support for start-ups. In 2014 we made it through to the TeachFirst Innovation Award Finals and won the Community Choice Award. We're now chuffed to be Innovation Partners and have a great space at the snazzy innovation hub to work in and develop our business.
Kingston University joined our efforts in 2014 and provide us with trained student ambassadors to support our workshops in schools. This keeps a high staff to student ratio in our sessions, ensuring maximum support for our cohorts. Most importantly, they provide higher education insight for our young people, ensuring they're aware of all the courses and training options available to them.
Neil Sartorio, a Director at EY, is probably one of the most energetic, bright-minded people we know. After running some invigorating Pitching and Presenting workshops for us, he was appointed as our Chairman of Advisors in 2014 and now closely supports our business development and strategy. He also connected us to EY's London Ventures Programme.
Plotr are an insanely innovative online career guidance platform. They have built an inspiring website where young people are invited to conduct a character analysis, the results of which determine which careers are recommended to them. It has endless career resources, jobs and insightful company pages. We are thrilled to have connected with them and look forward to directing our young people towards this fantastic platform.
Free2learn exist to get people into work, into a role that suits them. They provide traineeships so candidates can get the qualifications to achieve the most rewarding positions. We joined forces in November 2014, and refer our young people onto them following our programme to access further training and employment opportunities.
Fries With That is a graphic design company run by the hyper creative Dan Blackman. He's the reason we're able to look so fresh and so clean and has been a wonderful support for our start up. If you need any design work done, Dan really is the man to do it. He's worked with some of the UK's biggest brands, so we're rather lucky to have him on board.
