we deliver services to young people who are not always able to access the support they need. young people who face a range of educational, social, or societal barriers to employment
we exist to break down those barriers, supporting them by
developing transferable skills to equip them for their future
Young people are not developing the skills that are fundamental to their chance of success. Skills that serve you throughout your life such as communication, creativity, resilience, and team work. It is vital that we equip the younger generation with the skills, attitudes and aspirations they need to achieve successful and fulfilling careers.
raising their self esteem & confidence
There are currently half a million young people unemployed in the UK. Unemployment leads to a loss of self-esteem, depression and poverty.
facilitating their access to employment opportunities
Under a third of employers communicate with schools. This leaves young people lacking in understanding of the career options and pathways available to them. Many educational institutions are also underfunded and overstretched. They simply do not have the capacity to become experts in the multiple pathways available to young people in todays complicated job market.
connecting them to a support network in their local community
Local role models are vital for young people, yet there's often no platform for them to cross paths. This leaves a lot of young people without a support network to give them the much needed advice and guidance they need.
making their future exciting, not terrifying
How do you know where to go, if you don’t know what you’re aiming for? Careers education often suffers from unrelatable people, speaking in a foreign language to a crowd of unsurprisingly, unenthused young people. Long talks filled with buzzwords are enough to make anyone nod off. Young people should be inspired about the future options available to them, in an open environment that doesn’t intimidate them.
