#BlackLivesMatter The Youth Perspective. A lock down story about young people’s passion and drive for change.

In June 2022, a safe space was provided for young people to discuss the impact of George Floyd's murder and ways they believe society could make a positive change. This safe space evolved into a journey, exploring ways to challenge change, how to turn their idea's into action, and develop the power to speak up. This video is produced by Caroline Wilson, an attendee of the project, and is a celebration of the cohorts achievements.

Spiral Skills would like to say a special thank you to all of our young advocates, alongside facilitators Wayne James, Abdoul Ndambi, Luna Ali and Joel Balkwill. Thank you also to Lambeth Youth Council and Cabinet Members, Ed Davey and Melissa McCarthy.

If you are a young person passionate to influence change in Lambeth, Spiral Skills in partnership with Lambeth Made are currently recruiting for the next youth steering group. Find out how to get involved here on our opportunity board.
